23 Micro watersheds in Hamirpur, Shimla and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh
Our project focuses on managing 23 micro watersheds in Hamirpur, Shimla, and Kinnaur districts. These efforts enhance water resource management, prevent soil erosion, and promote sustainable land use through rainwater harvesting, soil conservation, and reforestation. The initiative aims to improve agricultural productivity, support local communities, and ensure long-term environmental sustainability.
5 micro watershesheds under National Watershed Development Project for rain fed areas (NWDPRA) in Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh
14 micro watershed under WDC PMKSY 2.0 in Sirmour district Himachal Pradesh.
Formed 39 SHGs (self help groups) out of 50 alongwith their linkages in Bhattiyat block of Chamba District and 23 SHGs in the Nichar block of Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh. The SHGs were sponsored by NABARD and handholding/refresher training was provided to them.
Umbrella Program on Natural Resource Management (UPNRM) in Karsog area of Mandi, Sirmour and Kinnaur districts in Himachal Pradesh. The programme was sponsored by NABARD, Himachal Pradesh. As a result of this, four FPOs have been formed and promoted which are now doing the work of UPNRM.
Successful area expansion and organic certification programme under the following
- NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production Rajana) scheme in Sirmour district. A technical tie up with M/S One Cert Asia, Jaipur, Rajasthan is in place for organic certification.
- NVIUC (National Vegetable Initiative for Urban Clusters, Ganog) in Sirmour district.
- NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) in Chamba district.
- NVIUC (National Vegetable Initiative for Urban Clusters, Dhundan) in Solan district.
- In collaboration with Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI) regional station Shimla, completed a project “Establishment of Virus free elite block of mother apple trees” in the tribal areas of Kinnaur and Lahoul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh. The project was sponsored by department of science and Technology (DST), New Delhi.
- Provided consultancy to Bhutti Weavers Cooperative Societies Ltd. Kullu for the preparation of following documents.
