Report on Tree Planation Campaign
A tree plantation campaign on 01-09-2024 has been initiated at Paobo Forest of Dummi Gram Panchayat, Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh. Total 50 tree saplings of different varieties, such as Deodar, Baan, Majnu, and Khanor, are being planted at Paobo Forest and Paobo-Dummu Link Road on both sides. In this activity, the Chairman of HARP, the adviser of HARP, other executive members of HARP, the CEO of HARP, and the account manager of HARP participated. More than
50 farmers from Dummi Gram Panchayat enthusiastically took part in this activity, showing their
commitment to environmental conservation and its sustainability. The collective effort of all
participants is sure to have a positive impact on the local ecosystem and contribute to a greener and
healthier environment for all. The event also included informative sessions on the importance of
tree plantations and sustainable agriculture practices, highlighting the significance of preserving
the environment for future generations. The participants were encouraged to continue their efforts
in nurturing the newly planted trees and to actively engage in similar initiatives in the future.
Overall, the tree plantation drive was a success, fostering a sense of community and shared
responsibility towards protecting the environment. The Chairman HARP, DR. RS Ratan, expressed
their gratitude to all those involved and expressed hope for a brighter, greener future ahead.



Awareness Camp on Women and Child Nutrition Management
The CDPO, Department of Women and Child Development, Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with Gram Panchayat Ghoond organized an Awareness Camp on Women and Child Nutrition Management on
22nd September 2021 at Gram Panchayat Ghoond, District Shimla. The Hill Agriculture and Rural
Development Promotion Society (HARP) has also collaborated with the organizing agencies and tried to
make the occasion successful. The program was organized to celebrate the Rashtriya Poshan Maah –
September 2021 initiated by the Government of India. In this programme around 90 women and children
of the area have actively participated.







Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan Gram Panchayat Dharech- A Volunteer activity
The Hill Agriculture and Rural Development Promotion Society celebrated Rashtriya Poshan
Mah along with CDPO Theog who organised the programme on 11-09-2024 in Dharech Gram
Panchayat Development Block Theog. The report of this voluntary activity is as follows:

Under the programme “Rashtriya Poshan Mah of Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan” the Hill Agriculture and Rural Development Promotion Society (HARP) celebrated Rashtriya Poshan
Mah along with anganwari supervisors, anganwari workers, helpers, and community of
Dharech Gram Panchayat on 11-09-2024. More than 80 participants enthusiastically took part
in this activity and took a pledge to actively promote and practice good nutrition habits in their
daily lives.
As a volunteer activity, the HARP society members also actively participated in this noble cause. The event included exhibitions of self-made nutritional food, fruits, vegetables, cultural
activities (play, song, dance, etc.) and informative sessions (PPT presentation by HARP) on
the importance of health and nutritional food related awareness, highlighting the significance
of nutritional food for women (dhatri mahilayan), pregnant women, and children.
